United Nations Portugal Ocean Fellowship 2025 is a program in which the United Nations and the country of Portugal work together to teach and train certain people about the oceans. Its main goal is to ensure that our world's oceans can be managed well, protected and benefit us, and our future generations. The main goal of this program is to strengthen countries around the world, especially those who need the most help, in protecting and benefiting from the oceans, so that the oceans always remain clean and continue to benefit the world.

What is the blue economy?
Blue economy means all those activities and things that benefit us from the ocean, but do not harm the ocean. Such as:
· Sea shipping
· Generating energy from the ocean (such as wave power)
· Marine tourism
· Making medicines or other things from marine resources
· All of this should be done in a way that keeps the ocean clean and does not harm the animals and plants that live in it.

What is taught in United Nations Portugal Ocean Fellowship?

How does this program work?
It usually lasts a few months and it often has two parts:
· Online studies: that is, you do some classes and work via the internet from your own country.
· Training in Portugal: Then you are invited to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, for some time, where you do practical training, meet people and learn from their experiences.

Mostly people who work in their government (e.g. in ministries) or in an institution related to the ocean.
