Benefits of McDonald Fellowship Program 2026
This is a fully funded fellowship, meaning that all your expenses will be covered by the fellowship:
· Annual stipend: You may receive up to approximately 55,000 euros per year, which will be enough to cover your living and travel expenses.
· Host institution stipend: The research institution or hospital where you will work will also receive some additional money from the fellowship.
· Travel expenses: Your travel expenses may also be covered.
· Opportunity to learn new skills: You will gain the latest knowledge and skills in the field of MS.
· Duration: The fellowship is for 2 years.
Eligibility Requirements
· You must be from a low- or middle-income country (such as one listed by the World Bank).
· You must have at least a Master’s degree (MSc), and a PhD or Medical Doctor (MD) is even better.
· Your research or work must be related to MS.
· You must be either working on MS in your own country, or working on a project in another country that started 6 months before you apply.
· Before you apply, you need to find an institution (hospital or research lab) and a supervisor there (who will supervise your research) that will allow you to work outside your country.
· This application is submitted jointly by you and your host institution.
