Benefits of the Rhodes Global Scholarship 2026

This is a fully-funded scholarship, which means you will not have to worry about your studies:

·         Course fees: The entire course fees at Oxford University are paid by this scholarship.

·         Living expenses (Stipend): You receive a fixed amount each month to cover your food, drink and accommodation costs. For 2025-26 this is around £19,800 per year (£1650 per month).

·         Travel costs: Economy class airfare to and from the UK is also included.

·         Visa fees and health surcharge: Your visa fee and the International Health Surcharge are also included in the scholarship. This surcharge gives you access to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).

·         Arrival support: You are also given some extra money to help you settle in when you arrive at Oxford.

Rhodes Scholarship 2026 Eligibility Criteria

·         Nationality: You must be a citizen of an eligible country.

·         Age: You must be between 18 and 24 years of age on 1 October 2025 (i.e. you were born after 1 October 2000 and before 2 October 2007). In some special cases, such as medical students or those who completed their first degree late, the age limit can be up to 27 years but there are some additional conditions for this.

·         Academic qualifications: You must have completed your undergraduate degree (usually a bachelor's degree) by July 2026, and your academic performance is good enough to be admitted to the required course at the University of Oxford. Typically, a first-class honor’s degree or a GPA of 3.70 or higher out of 4.0 is required.

·         English language skills: Your English must be good enough to meet the English language requirements of the University of Oxford.
