Lithuanian PhD Scholarship Program 2025
If you have obtained a Master’s degree, and now you want to study further in Energy or any related field (such as electricity, heat, environment, etc.) and want to create something new. This scholarship program is for that purpose. This PhD program will be a full 4-year program. If you get this scholarship, you will also need to get a visa and residence permit to travel to Lithuania. This is a great opportunity for those who are interested in research and want to study in Europe. This is a program in which the Lithuanian Energy Institute (an institution) is giving you the opportunity to do a PhD. A PhD is the highest degree, in which you do very in-depth research on a specific topic. The best part of this scholarship is that it is free and you will also get stipend.

Who can apply (Eligibility)?
- You must have a Master’s degree (i.e. MSc or MA etc.).
- You must have studied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or any technical subject related to energy in your Masters.
- You will have to choose a specific scientific topic for your PhD (for example, research on solar energy).
- You must be able to speak and understand English well. If you have a Master's degree in English, you may not need to take a test.
- You will need to get recommendations from two people who know your work and who do their own research.

How to Apply?
- First prepare the documents:
- Your Master’s degree and its mark sheet.
- The two recommendations I mentioned above.
- An English language test (such as IELTS or TOEFL) if necessary.
- If you have done any research before, details of it. If not, you will have to write a short research paper on the topic of your PhD.
- Online application: You will have to go to their website and fill out a form and upload all these documents there.

Important dates (Deadlines):
- If your Master’s degree is from outside Lithuania, you have to submit the documents by April 15, 2025 for its verification.
- The deadline for submitting applications and registering is June 5-20, 2025.
- Your interviews will be between 26-30 June 2025.
