1. Opportunity Card - The New and Easiest Way
This visa is for people who want to go to Germany without already having a job and look for work. It is a points system that started on June 1, 2024.
Who Can Apply? (How Do You Qualify?)
You need to earn at least 6 points to get this card. Points are awarded for:
Recognition of Studies:
If your studies abroad (degree or vocational training) are fully or partially recognized in Germany, you can get 4 points.
Work Experience:
- 2 years of work experience in the last 5 years: 2 points
- 3 years of work experience in the last 7 years: 3 points
Language Understanding:
- German A2: 1 point
- German B1: 2 points

2. EU Blue Card
This is for highly educated people who have a degree from a recognized university in Germany or abroad and a well-paid job offer in Germany. The minimum annual salary for most sectors in 2025 will be around €48,300. This amount may be lower in certain sectors (such as IT).

In some sectors, especially IT, even those without a degree but with a lot of experience can apply for the EU Blue Card.
3. Skilled Worker Visa

Here’s how you can get a work visa for Germany:
Choose the Right Visa:
