Humboldt University PROMOS Scholarship 2026

The Humboldt University PROMOS scholarship 2026 is for students who do not receive money from Erasmus+ to live abroad. It is also for those who are not going on the Erasmus+ programme. The PROMOS scholarship 2026 is a programme of the German DAAD. This programme gives students from Humboldt University the opportunity to gain experience of their studies and cultures around the world.

It is open to students from all disciplines and helps them to study abroad or to do their final thesis. If you are a law student and have been offered a place through a faculty partnership other than Erasmus+, you will be automatically selected for this scholarship. Other law students will apply in the normal way.

How much will the PROMOS Scholarship 2026 be?

PROMOS will provide you with a small monthly stipend and/or a one-off travel allowance.

·         The monthly stipend ranges from 350 to 550 euros depending on the country.

·         The amount of the travel allowance also depends on the country you are going to and is in accordance with the current DAAD rates.

·         The scholarship can be awarded for up to 3 months. A total of 6 months of funding for living abroad during a single study period (Bachelor’s or Master’s) cannot be awarded.

·         A mandatory experience report must be submitted after the program ends.

Who can apply? (Eligibility Requirements)

Your work abroad must be for the country and must meet the following two conditions:

In addition, one of the following conditions must be met for your work:

·         You want to study at a university abroad for one semester (half a year), and you are not receiving funding from Erasmus+.

·         If you intend to study for two semesters, you must also apply for a one-year DAAD scholarship. You will only receive funding from PROMOS if the DAAD has rejected your application. If the dates are the same, apply to both DAAD and Humboldt together.

·         You want to complete your final degree project (thesis) abroad – in any country.

·         You want to apply for group funding – in any country.
