· Don’t hold the assistant professor or lecture position.
· The researcher should have excellent scientific research achievement.
· Mainstream research projects are typically not funded.

The duration of Branco Weiss fellowship program is 5 years means the research projects will continue under this fellowship program for 5 years. The duration of research fellowship program is divided into two phases. The first phase is called pioneer phase which consist of 2 years at the end of this phase the researcher projects get reviewed and if the performance is good then the second phase start. The second phase is called exploitation phase which continue for the duration of 3 years.
